Hawzah News Agency- Senior Iraqi cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir Al-Najafi has extended his condolences over the martyrdom of Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The text of his message is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Allah Almighty says:

"And do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allah has given them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them – that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."

Allah, the Almighty, has spoken the truth.

With immense sorrow and grief, we extend our condolences to the Imam of our time (may Allah hasten his reappearance) on the martyrdom of the pride of warriors and leader of resistance, the descendant of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), His Eminence, the great Mujahid, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may his soul be sanctified).

We congratulate the son of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her) on his martyrdom, a martyrdom, he always longed for, which came at the hands of the pharaohs of this era, the descendants of the murderers of prophets. He now joins his pure ancestors, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous – and what an excellent company they are.

Let the free people of the world know that the blood of this great warrior will not be shed in vain. By the power of Allah, it will be a gateway to victory, and through its blessing, Allah will bestow triumph upon the Muslims. As it is narrated from the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who said: "What remains of the sword gives rise to more numbers and produces greater offspring."

Holding our hearts firmly, we accept this tragic incident as the will of Allah. we call upon the believers to take his life, sacrifices, and martyrdom as a guiding light, just as he followed in the footsteps of his pure ancestors (peace be upon them). Let trust in Allah Almighty and turn solely to Him in faith and worldly matters.

We extend our heartfelt and sincere condolences to his honorable family, praying to the Almighty to strengthen their hearts and ours in this calamity, to raise his ranks and grant him a high place in heaven.

There is no power nor strength except by Allah, the Highest, the Almighty.

Bashir Hussein Al-Najafi
